The Valencian scientific Pilar Mateo has been honored with the award for social commitment in the awards granted by the International Women's Forum (IWF) for Spanish women leaders. The awards were presented by Your Royal Highnessthe Princess Elena during the ceremony hold in the Casino of Madrid.
The Doctor is President of the Pilar Mateo Science and Knowledge in Action Foundation and creator of Inesfly Africa paint factory for the control of endemic diseases. In Africa, in particular, leads the plan "Painting Africa" whose main objective is to control and prevent the transmission of malaria vector home level by applying the paint that made her world famous, Inesfly.
Pilar Mateo's career has been linked to social commitments since 1998 when she entered the service of the suffering endemic diseases in poor countries her researches.
